IS THERE STILL HOPE FROM HUMANITY?

"And never give up hope of Allah's truly soothing mercy, no-one despairs of Allah's soothing mercy except those who have no faith." [Surah Yusuf: 87]

Reading, watching or listening to any kind of news makes me nauseous, brokenhearted, disappointed, angry and extremely sad! What is happening to this world? What happened to every single human being? Where is our morality and our respect for another fellow human being? Where is the dignity and respect for our own soul? Haven't we already sinned enough that we keep on increasing immensely? 

The Conditions in Syria and Egypt are beyond imagination. Men, women and children are dying every day and most of them are fearing for their lives. The turmoil occurred in Egypt was by the oppression from their own country. Then what is left for the security of the citizens of Egypt? No security, no rights, no privilege. Only some kinds of agenda to ruin the Muslims for the benefit of their own income and luxury. The neighboring Muslim countries ought to help ALWAYS but little is the help that is received to any one of the victims of the murdered families.  It only reminds me of how the Ansars of Madinah stood up with courage to help the Muhajireen of Makkah only on the basis of Muslim brotherhood and unity. But this makes me feel ashamed of myself and life in general. Has Saudi Arabia done sufficient to decrease the sufferings of the Muslim brothers and sisters in Egypt, Syria and Palestine? Man, even this country is corrupted.  Many people are still striving to get their rights reserved. And I have nothing more to say in defense of any country or anybody but as humans we all know what is right and wrong despite the religion differences.                          

For one second I wanna speak to my Muslim brothers and sisters in general. Do you think affliction is just simply occurring upon our lives because we are innocent? No we aren't. Are we all praying five times a day on time without laziness? Are we all Reading the Qur'an with understanding and acting upon it? Are we engaged in Halal lifestyle with no alcohol, no haram business, no usury, no illegal relationships, returning of amaanats, Hijab of men and women, no music or movies? Are we obeying our parents and elders and maintaining our blood relationships? Are we truthful at all times? Are we all Just to every human being around us despite our differences and enmity? Have we held firm the rope of Allah and have had full trust in Him? If the answer is No, then we all have nothing more to say just to be ashamed of ourselves. If the answer is Yes, then there is still hope for the world to be in peace.
As Muslims and most of all humans, we need to restore our humanity and CHANGE. Stop living for the world. Fear Allah and live for the Day of Judgement. Do jihad against ourselves.  

This is a total disaster and the more we speak or shout who do you think is listening except Allah? No leader or authority cares for you then why do you turn to them? The month of Ramadan is over but it reminds me that most of us weren't in masjids during the Qiyam ul Layl. Who do you think is to be blamed but yourselves? We all are in loss with time that we didn't take advantage of and the blessings we cared less for. We all know very well who were the true worshipers in Ramadan and even outside of Ramadan. The least we could do is Repent sincerely so Allah subhanawaTa'la has mercy on us. Then why don't we call upon Allah even when we had no Affliction or calamity? Isn't Allah subhanaAllah All Seeing, All Aware, All Listening? Don't you know that He is All Aware of your petty little tricks of pleasing yourself by calling Him suddenly out of nowhere at the difficult times and then fleeing from Him when things seem good for you? 

My heart only sinks in deep sorrow and grief for the loss of innocent lives of children, men and women all over the world because of the propaganda against the Muslims by the mind control of the Zionists and most importantly, our own nafs and mistakes.

"Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself." 4:79

The Prophet (sallallahu aleihi wa sallam) said: "Allah does not punish the individuals for the sins of the community until they see the evil spreading among themselves, and while they have the power to stop it, do not do so." (Ahmad). Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "This is why those who are in authority are of two groups: the scholars and the rulers. If they are upright, the people will be upright; if they are corrupt, the people will be corrupt."

But there is still hope for us in the aakhirah and as well in this dunya because one day we will be brought to justice.

Narrated Abu Huraira radiaAllah anhu: The Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What do you order us (to do)?" He said, "Obey the one who will be given the pledge of allegiance first. Fulfill their (i.e. the Caliphs) rights, for Allah will ask them about (any shortcoming) in ruling those Allah has put under their guardianship." [Al-Bukhari 4.661]
Allah's Messenger SAW said, "If any ruler having the authority to rule Muslim subjects dies while he is deceiving them, Allah will forbid Paradise for him." [Sahih Al-Bukhari 9:265]

Narrated Ma'qil: I heard the Prophet sallalahu alaihi wasallam saying, "Any man whom Allah has given the authority of ruling some people and he does not look after them in an honest manner, will never feel even the smell of Paradise." [Sahih Muslim - Volume 9, Book 89, Number 264]

Our only weapon is duwa and supplications, so let us all humble ourselves and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaitaan and seek forgiveness from Allah subhanaWa ta'aAla and pray for the oppressed in Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

POLITICS IN ISLAM

ASSALAM O ALAIKUM READERS,

Definition of Politics:   The science of government; that part of ethics which has to do with the regulation and government of a nation or state, the preservation of its safety, peace, and prosperity, the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals. 

Politics is not munkar - is not a depravity - real politics is noble virtuous because it administers the affairs of all creatures, bringing man closer to good and away from fasad - evil. According to Ibn al-Qayyim, politics is really the justice of Allah the Almighty and His Prophet (peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him).

What are political aspects in Islam? 

Political aspects of Islam are derived from Quran & Sunnah (The saying and living habits of Prophet Mohammad SAW), Muslim history & elements of political movement outside Islam. Traditional Political concepts in Islam include Leadership, by elective or selective successors to the Prophet known as the Caliphs. The importance of Islamic laws or shariah, The duty of rulers to seek shura (consultation) from their subjects & the importance of rebuking & just rules.

The Prophet Muhammad SAW. was a politician as well as the messenger conveying the message of Allah's oneness - teacher, Qadi - Chief Justice, Head of the nation and Imam of the ummah. The Khulafa' al Rasyidun - the rightly guided leaders who succeeded him were also politicians following the Sunnah - way of the Prophet, establishing just administration, practicing ihsan - the betterment of good and providing the leadership of 'ilm - knowledge and Iman - belief.

The following hadith establishes the principle of rule of law of Prophet Mohammad SAW:

Narrated ‘Aisha: The people of Quraish worried about the lady from Bani Makhzam who had committed theft. They asked, "Who will intercede for her with Allah's Apostle?" Some said, "No one dare to do so except Usama bin Zaid the beloved one to Allah's Apostle." When Usama spoke about that to Allah's Apostle Allah's Apostle said: "Do you try to intercede for somebody in a case connected with Allah’s Prescribed Punishments?" Then he got up and delivered a sermon saying, "What destroyed the nations preceding you, was that if a noble amongst them stole, they would forgive him, and if a poor person amongst them stole, they would inflict Allah's Legal punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad (my daughter) stole, I would cut off her hand."

In Islam there is the equal subjection of all classes to the ordinary law of the land, where no person is above the law and where officials and private citizens are under a duty to obey the same law. A Qadi (Islamic judge) was also not allowed to discriminate on the grounds of religion, race, color, kinship or prejudice. There were also a number of cases where Caliphs had to appear before judges as they prepared to take their verdict.

Politics of Modern Era:

However in the present time, due to 'politics' man faced suffering as a result of deceit and political ploys and scheming and devious politicians, whether in the form of past colonialists, treacherous rulers, tyrannical leaders and regimes preaching.

It became common to label and describe committed Muslims as 'political' so that they are regarded warily and wickedly for the purpose of disassociating and furthering apart the people from them, intending that society will shun and hate what is called 'political Islam'. It has been such that symbols of Islam like the headscarf, the proper attire and congregational prayers - Salat jama'ah are attempted to be labelled 'political'. It is a blatant lie for those who say that there is no religion in politics and that there is no politics in religion.

From the understanding of the Prophet's SAW tradition:

Munkar (transgression) is not limited to (khamr) - liquor, gambling and (zina) - unlawful sex but degrading and defiling the honour and dignity of the people and citizens is a major transgression, so is cheating in the elections, refusing to give testimony - neglecting to vote, letting government be in the hands of those who are not deserving and undesired, stealing and squandering the nation's wealth and property, monopolizing the people's needs for personal gains or cronies' interests, detaining people without crime or just cause, without judgement from a fair court, torturing human beings in prison and the detention camps, giving, accepting and mediating in bribes, cowering up to, praising evil rulers, allowing the enemies of Allah and the enemies of the Muslim community to be leaders and shunning the believers.

We can see the image of politicians in the following picture which clearly depicts that more than half of the politicians are corrupted & the ratio of honest and hard working politicians is very low.






Our Political Responsibility: Islam requires that every Muslim has political responsibility. A Muslim is required by his Iman - faith to be truly concerned with the affairs and problems of the ummah - community, helping and defending the meek and the weak, fighting tyranny and oppression. By retreating and abstaining oneself, it will only invite divine retribution and being seized by the flames of hell.

True Islamic Democracy: Democracy is the simplest and proper way to achieve the aims of a noble life, to be able to invite all to Allah and Islam, to be able to call others to Iman without having our souls being imprisoned and our bodies sentenced to be executed by hanging. It is the space for a free and honorable nation to have the right to choose, evaluate the ruler, change governments without coups and without bloodshed.

The gist of democracy is that the public, the people can choose the rulers who are going to administer them; the people having the right to select, criticize and terminate; and the people are not forced to accept systems, trends, and policies which they do not agree to and they are not abused. They are free to hold elections, referendums, ensuring majority rights, protecting minority rights, having opposition, have multi parties, have press freedom and safeguarding the independence of the judiciary. But once again to constantly uphold and safeguard the principles of Islam, the firm rulings, the determined laws, the essentials of religion and the non-ijtihadi must not be compromised or neglected.

WHERE ARE MUSLIMS FROM?

Are all Muslims Arab? or all Arabs Muslim?

This is the biggest misconception that is going on for generations where people have considered only few groups of people to be Muslims or let alone only middle easterners to be Muslims. 

The Arabs themselves are in this idea that only they hold the most number of Muslims. Many of the times this is due to ignorance or maybe because of the arrogance that the Qur'an was revealed upon the Quraysh a.k.a Arabs of the Makkah during the time of Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wasallam and that they are special people chosen for this message.

The Qur'an was revealed to them especially because of the need to get rid of Shirk (idolatry) and constant sinning and corruption. It also came to challenge the arrogance, pride, racism, and materialism of man and evil inside him. These negative and bad human characteristics were clearly manifested in the Arab nation before Islam. But Allah alone knows the best wisdom and reason why it was revealed to them peculiarly. But again this doesn't apply to every single Arab. This is just to clear the air of hear-says. Therefore, the preference of Arabs over other nations, and the preference of some Arabs over other Arabs is affirmed in the Sacred Law. Allah has even preferred some months over other months and some days and nights of over others, as well as places. So in the same way, Allah subhanAllah wa Ta'ala, has chosen some men over others, some prophets over others and even some prophets over other prophets.

                           

                           

But the fact that Arabs are preferred over others does not mean that a non-Arab cannot have a higher merit in the religion than an Arab, because a person earns the good deeds that Allah has recommended we compete for. This is the highest merit of Taqwa (God consciousness) and his good deeds on which Allah will judge everybody.

However, that is an argument on whom Allah chose and what nation the Qur'an was revealed upon.

The message that Allah subhanaAllah wa Ta'ala inspired on our Beloved Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam 1400 years ago is now spread worldwide. subhanaAllah! The Sahabas and the descendants that came after them have done an amazing job in spreading the message of Allah for the welfare of the humanity. Everything happens by the Will of Allah.

 World Muslim Population

The truth of the matter is that the Qur'an was revealed upon the entire human nation. There are so many verses in the Qur'an that are being addressed to the whole Nation.

Islam is the second most widespread religion in the world where Muslims are arising from every single corner of the Earth. Millions of muslims from all around the world come for Umrah and Hajj to the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. They are from different castes, race, culture, countries, languages, lineages etc­ 

The problem begins where there is Racism in the Muslim community. Racism is not allowed in Islam, for the Qur'an speaks of human equality in the following terms:

“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes for you to know one another. Truly, the noblest of you with God is the most pious. Truly, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware.” (Qur'an 49:13)

Islam rejects certain individuals or nations being favored because of their wealth, power, or race. God created human beings as equals who are to be distinguished from each other only on the basis of their faith, piety and good deeds. We as Muslims need to unite and help the muslims in every way possible.

The Prophet Muhammad said: “O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety.”  Narrated in Mosnad Ahmad, #22978.

We should never judge a person by how they appear to be. Some consider all Indians to be Hindus or all Americans to be Christians. Just because they follow certain customs or wear differently doesn't mean they believe something different. 

                                                                                           

Diverse people in our Islam

Muslims have their own identities and names with which they represent their own creed. Which is why a Muslim woman should be in her hijab and a Muslim man should have a beard and dress modestly. We are recognized with these apparent appearances. We should own it, be proud of where we were born, and mostly thank Allah for giving us Islam. After all Allah doesn't see our faces, or our nationalities, He only sees our belief and our deeds.
