AYAT AL KURSI - ITS BENEFITS

AYAT AL KURSI (Verse of The Footstool)

"Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)." [Surah al-Baqarah 2: 255]

AYAT AL KURSI is named after the footstool of ALLAH TAA'LA. It is one ayah but has ten complete sentences. The reason why Ayat al-Kursi is the most excellent verse, is that this verse mentions the names of Allah Most High more than any other verse (i.e. this verse contains the most remembrance (dhikr) of Allah Most High). It glorifies Allah and is a beautiful proof  for tauhid (Oneness of ALLAH TAA'LA).

Indeed this ayah has many virtues and some of them are:

v    It is the greatest ayah of Qur’an:

Imam Ahmad recorded that `Ubayy bin Ka`b (Radhi Allahu anhu) said that the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) asked him about the greatest Ayah in the Book of Allah, and `Ubayy (Radhi Allahu anhu) answered, "Allah and His Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  know better.'' When the Prophet repeated his question several times, `Ubayy (Radhi Allahu anhu) said, "Ayat Al-Kursi.'' The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  commented,

«لِيَهْنِكَ الْعِلْمُ أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، إِنَّ لَهَا لِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ، تُقَدِّسُ الْمَلِكَ عِنْدَ سَاقِ الْعَرْش»

(Congratulations for having knowledge, O Abu Al-Mundhir! By He in Whose Hand is my soul! This Ayah has a tongue and two lips with which she praises the King (Allah) next to the leg of the Throne.)
This Hadith was also collected by Muslim, but he did not include the part that starts with, "By He in Whose Hand...''

v    Ayat al Kursi also protects from shaitaan.

Imam Bukhari reported in his sahih that Abu Hurayrah’ (Radhi Allahu anhu) narrated:
“Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  assigned me to keep watch over the Sadaqah (charity) of Ramadan. A person snuck in and started taking handfuls of foodstuff. I caught him and said, `By Allah, I will take you to Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).' He said, `Release me, for I am meek and have many dependents and am in great need.' I released him, and in the morning Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  asked me, `What did your prisoner do yesterday, O Abu Hurayrah' I said, `O Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! He complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so I pitied him and let him go.' Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  said, `Indeed, he told you a lie and will be coming again.' I believed that he would show up again, for Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had told me that he would return. So, I watched for him. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, `I will definitely take you to Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).' He said, `Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again.' I pitied him and let him go. In the morning Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  asked me, `What did your prisoner do last night, O Abu Hurayrah!' I replied, `O Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free.' Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, `Verily, he told you a lie; he will return.' I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, `I will surely take you to Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  as it is the third time you promised not to return, yet you returned.' He said, `Let me teach you some words which Allah will give you benefit from.' I asked, `What are they' He replied, `Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat Al-Kursi- Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum, till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no Shaytan will come near you until morning.' So, I released him. In the morning, Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  asked, `What did your prisoner do yesterday' I replied, `O Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)! He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will grant me some benefit, so I let him go.' Allah's Messenger  (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)  asked, `What are they' I replied, `He said to me: Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat Al-Kursi from the beginning to the end, Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum. He further said to me: (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no Shaytan will come near you until morning.' (One of the narrators) then commented that they (the Companions) were very keen to do good deeds. The Prophet said, `He spoke the truth, although he is a liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Hurayrah' Abu Hurayrah (Radhi Allahu anhu )said, `No.' He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, `It was Shaytan.'''

An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith in Al-Yawm wa Al-Laylah.

v    If recited after obligatory prayer nothing will prevent from entering jannah.

It was narrated that Abu Umamah (Radhi Allahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed Prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.”
(Reported by An-Nasa’i and IbnHibban.)

v    In it the Most Great Name of Allah (ismuAllahi al-’atham) ﴿الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّومُ is mentioned.

v    Ayat al-Kursi mentions six attributes (sifat) of Allah Most High, all six being mentioned in this single verse. The attributes mentioned are:

The Divine Oneness (Wahdaniyyah) of Allah Most High, His Life (Hayah), His Knowledge (?Ilm), His Kingdom (Mulk), His Divine Power (Qudrah) and His Will (Iradah)

Subhaan Allah there are many benefits of Ayat al Kursi and reciting it would take not more than a minute of ours. Most of us know it by heart and take it for granted but now let’s take the opportunity and be benefited by it.  As for those who haven’t learnt, it’s never too late to learn it now.  IN SHA ALLAH. Below is a video for easy memorization of Ayat Al Kursi (hope it helps)....

May ALLAH TAA'LA bless us with the taufiq to memorize, recite with ikhlas and accept from us .  Ameen

Take care and have a nice day…

IMPORTANCE OF FRIDAY

Friday is the sixth and best day in Islamic week. From various ahadith, it is proven that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to celebrate this day and he declared jummah as weekly eid for muslims. Heﷺ used to wear clean and new (washed) clothes, used to take bath, wear fragrance, wear surmah for this day specially.

Holy Prophet Muhammadﷺ had said, "The best day during which the sun have risen is Friday. It is the Day Adam was created. It is the day when Adam entered paradise and also when he was taken out from it. It is also the day on which the Day of Judgment takes place." reported by Imam Muslim, Abu-Dawood, Al-Nasai, and Al-Tirmizi

Rasulallah ﷺ is reported to have said,
“Recite Durood upon me in abundance on the day of Jummah since they are presented to me.” (Ibn Majah)

Virtues of Friday:

The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said: "There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted." (Bukhari, Muslim)
The ulama have differed in specifying that hour which has been mentioned in the Hadith. Shaykh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi (Allah have mercy on him) has mentioned 40 different opinions in his book Sharh Sifrus Sa'adah. However, from among all these opinions he has given preference to two opinions:

That time is from the commencement of the khutbah till the end of the prayer, That time is towards the end of the day. A group of ulama have given preference to this second opinion and there are many Hadiths which support this opinion. Shaykh Dehlawi (Allah have mercy on him) says that this narration is correct that Hadrat Fatimah (R.A.) used to order her maid on Fridays to inform her when the day is about to end so that she could occupy herself in making zikr and duas.
The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said: "Friday is the best of all days and the most virtuous in the sight of Allah Most High. In the sight of Allah Most High it has more greatness than Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Ad'haa." (Ibn Majah)

The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said: "The Muslim who passes away on the night or during the day of Friday, Allah Most High saves him from the punishment of the grave." (Tirmidhi)

Some hadiths about Friday:

  1. The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said: "the person who has a bath on Friday, purifies himself as far as possible, applies oil to his hair, applies perfume, leaves for the mosque, when he arrives at the mosque he does not sit down by removing anyone from his place, offers as many nafl prayers as possible, when the imam delivers the khutbah he remains silent - then his sins from the previous Friday till now will be forgiven." (Bukhari)
  2. Hadrat Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah (R.A.) a narrate that they heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) saying: "People should abstain from leaving out Friday prayer. If not, Allah Most High will put a seal over their hearts whereby they will fall into severe negligence." (Muslim)

WHERE ARE MUSLIMS FROM?

Are all Muslims Arab? or all Arabs Muslim?
This is the biggest misconception that is going on for generations where people have considered only few groups of people to be Muslims or let alone only middle easterners to be Muslims.

The Arabs themselves are in this idea that only they hold the most number of Muslims. Many of the times this is due to ignorance or maybe because of the arrogance that the Qur'an was revealed upon the Quraysh a.k.a Arabs of the Makkah during the time of Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wasallam and that they are special people chosen for this message.
The Qur'an was revealed to them especially because of the need to get rid of Shirk (idolatry) and constant sinning and corruption. It also came to challenge the arrogance, pride, racism, and materialism of man and evil inside him. These negative and bad human characteristics were clearly manifested in the Arab nation before Islam. But Allah alone knows the best wisdom and reason why it was revealed to them peculiarly. But again this doesn't apply to every single Arab. This is just to clear the air of hear-says. Therefore, the preference of Arabs over other nations, and the preference of some Arabs over other Arabs is affirmed in the Sacred Law. Allah has even preferred some months over other months and some days and nights of over others, as well as places. So in the same way, Allah subhanAllah wa Ta'ala, has chosen some men over others, some prophets over others and even some prophets over other prophets.

But the fact that Arabs are preferred over others does not mean that a non-Arab cannot have a higher merit in the religion than an Arab, because a person earns the good deeds that Allah has recommended we compete for. This is the highest merit of Taqwa (God consciousness) and his good deeds on which Allah will judge everybody.
However, that is an argument on whom Allah chose and what nation the Qur'an was revealed upon.
The message that Allah subhanaAllah wa Ta'ala inspired on our Beloved Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam 1400 years ago is now spread worldwide. subhanaAllah! The Sahabas and the descendants that came after them have done an amazing job in spreading the message of Allah for the welfare of the humanity. Everything happens by the Will of Allah.

 World Muslim Population

The truth of the matter is that the Qur'an was revealed upon the entire human nation. There are so many verses in the Qur'an that are being addressed to the whole Nation.

Islam is the second most widespread religion in the world where Muslims are arising from every single corner of the Earth. Millions of muslims from all around the world come for Umrah and Hajj to the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. They are from different castes, race, culture, countries, languages, lineages etc
The problem begins where there is Racism in the Muslim community. Racism is not allowed in Islam, for the Qur'an speaks of human equality in the following terms:

“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female and have made you into nations and tribes for you to know one another. Truly, the noblest of you with God is the most pious. Truly, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware.” (Qur'an 49:13)

Islam rejects certain individuals or nations being favored because of their wealth, power, or race. God created human beings as equals who are to be distinguished from each other only on the basis of their faith, piety and good deeds. We as Muslims need to unite and help the muslims in every way possible.

The Prophet Muhammad said: “O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety.”  Narrated in Mosnad Ahmad, #22978.

We should never judge a person by how they appear to be. Some consider all Indians to be Hindus or all Americans to be Christians. Just because they follow certain customs or wear differently doesn't mean they believe something different.

Diverse people in our Islam

Muslims have their own identities and names with which they represent their own creed. Which is why a Muslim woman should be in her hijab and a Muslim man should have a beard and dress modestly. We are recognized with these apparent appearances. We should own it, be proud of where we were born, and mostly thank Allah for giving us Islam. After all Allah doesn't see our faces, or our nationalities, He only sees our belief and our deeds.

"CREED (AQEEDA)" THE FUNDAMENTAL BELIEF

ASSALAM-O-ALAIKUM READERS,

This is my first post on the topic of "AQEEDA". Majority of the people think that they have the correct Aqeedaa and pay no heed to its study... They are in reality those who have the worst understanding of the Deen. So, it is very important to know about our creed.

What is creed (Aqeeda)?

The word "aqeeda" is a plural of "عقائد" & it is a word of an Arabic language which linguistically means "to knot something or to tie"

It is an action of heart & a name of strong belief & affirmation. It is free from any kind of doubt.

In Terminology it means to belief in Allah only, to belief in His angels, to belief in His Messengers, to belief in His Books, to have belief in the day of judgement & on prejudgment and predetermination of Allah.

So basically

“Creed is everything that is connected to the world of the Unseen to which a ruling regarding actions is not connected.”

Can a person spend his life without Aqeeda?
A person cannot spend his life without creed (Aqeeda) because it has captured our minds. Aqeedah is like the head of the body and without the head, the body is useless.

Types of creed (Aqeeda):

There are two types of creed
  • Right
  • Wrong
How Aqeeda is created?
There are some steps in formation of creed (Aqeeda)
  1. Thought
  2. After repetition it becomes a way of thinking
  3. Then it becomes Values
  4. at last our values becomes our Creed (Aqeeda)
Sources of attainting Right Aqeeda:
There are only two authentic sources of attaining right Aqeeda
  • Quran
  • Sunnah
Quran: Word of Allah which is revealed on Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), which starts from Surah Al-Fatiha & ends at Surah Al-Nas.

Sunnah: linguistically it means a way (good or bad)
In Islamic Terminology it means the guided way & the life style of Prophet (PBUH)

Anything related to Aqeedah must have a proof from the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah otherwise it is rejected. Our entire lives must be built on the correct aqeedah as Allah says:

“Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds’” (6:162)

Status Of A Muslim Woman And Her Role In The Islamic Societies

Educate a man, you educate a person. Educate a woman and you educate a family. Educate a family and you educate the Ummah.

Islam brought about liberation of women from bondage, gave her equal rights, and recognized her individuality as a human being. Islam improved the status of women by instituting rights of property ownership, inheritance, education, marriage (as a contract) and divorce.

The women of the Prophet's time enjoyed the full range of rights and freedoms that Allah and the Prophet allowed them. There were many prominent Muslim women in that generation who were outspoken and contributed to building the Islamic society. Their names have been recorded. Qur'an is insistent on the full participation of women in society and in the religious practices.

The history of Muslims is rich with women of great achievements in all walks of life from as early as the seventh century. Since the beginning of Islam, Muslim women have made strong contributions in the development of Islamic Societies.

ROLE OF A WOMAN AS A DAUGHTER:

Islam honours women as daughters, and encourages raising them well and educating them. Islam states that raising daughters will bring a great reward. For example, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach adulthood, he and I will come like this on the Day of Resurrection,” and he held his fingers together. (Muslim)

At another occasion Prophet said; “None but a noble man treats women in an honourable manner. And none but an ignoble treats women disgracefully”. ( At-Tirmidi ).

The Qur'an provides clear-cut evidence that woman is completely equated with man in the sight of God in terms of her rights and responsibilities. Few examples of Quranic injunctions for the rights of Woman are as follows:

“Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds” (Qur'an 74:38).

“So their Lord accepted their prayers, (saying): I will not suffer to be lost the work of any of you whether male or female. You proceed one from another” (Qur'an 3: 195).

“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has faith, verily to him will We give a new life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to their actions”. (Qur'an 16:97, see also 4:124).

“O Mankind, keep your duty to your Lord who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate (of same kind) and from them twain has spread a multitude of men and women” (Qur'an 4:1).

A scholar who pondered about this verse states: “It is believed that there is no text, old or new, that deals with the humanity of the woman from all aspects with such amazing brevity, eloquence, depth, and originality as this divine decree.”
On the basis of these evidences one can be a blessed daughter who pleases Allah and fulfills her duties & be a source of happiness for everyone and earn a lot of reward.
  • Taking responsibility of ones own personality like from when she matures keep an eye & reflect on ones behavior & know ones limits.
  • Recognition of Allah; Its every persons right to know her Creator an so she is obligated with it.
  • Seeking knowledge of the Islamic Ulooms like Aqeeda, Fiqh, etc in order to lead a peaceful life and eventually be granted salvation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DAUGHTER

1- Being obedient to ones parents honouring and respecting them.
2-Helping ones mother in the training (tarbiyat) of ones siblings. Elder siblings play a major role in spreading goodness and being a good role model. We have the responsibility of others younger to us as the younger siblings follow the elder ones.
3-Teach our parents and our siblings about Islam lovingly and gently.
4-Doing the chores without your mother asking you to do it, try and spend less time on your cell phone. These things will be an argument against you, if u do something for your parents it will be in your favour. Its not good manners (akhlaaq) when our parents do something and we sit and study or chat with our friends. When we are obedient to our parents & honour them while obeying Allah's command then our time will be blessed we can do a lot more things in less time.
5- Don't waste time in useless things and spread goodness in the house.
6- Don't follow any fashion without seeing to it that its suitable to the divine laws.
7- Stay in good company and also increase your faith by reading Qur'an daily.
8- Keep the house clean while knowing that removing filth from the way is sadaqah.

EXCELLENCE OF SURAH Al-FATIHA

Dear readers,
Assalamualykum Wr Wb,
It's my first post ever , on the topic of "Quranic ayahs" I prefer the ayahs which are known as the opening of Qur'an, the best ayahs to introduce Qur'an .

Why is Surah Fatiha obligatory on us? :
Reciting Surah Fatiha is obligatory for us indeed because its an hadith that Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa-sallam said: “Whoever offers a prayer in which he does not recite Umm al-Kitab (i.e., Al-Fatihah), it is defective” – he said so three times". [Narrated by Muslim] This means learning of Surah Al-Fatiha is of utmost importance!

I will explain these Quranic ayahs by hadith, because Qur'an was inspired on Mohammed Sallalahu alaihi Wasallam and he can explain it best. Which is why, authentic narrations (hadiths) will be taken many times in this post in order to understand the Qur'an better. in sha Allah!

Excellence of Surah Fatiha:-

Surah Al-Fatiha is the greatest and most virtuous Surah of the Noble Qur'an. It consists of the "Saba'a mathani" which are repeatedly recited and that's why it represents the Grand Noble Qur'an.

This Surah is called Al-Fatihah, that is, the Opener of the Book, the Surah with which prayers are begun. It is also called, Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book), according to the majority of the scholars. In an authentic Hadith recorded by At-Tirmidhi, who graded it Sahih, it is mentioned that Abu Hurayrah RadiaAllah anhu narrated that the Messenger of Allah Sallalahu alaihi waSallam said,

«الْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبَ الْعَالَمِينَ أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ وَأُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَالسَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ»
(Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-`Alamin is the Mother of the Qur'an, the Mother of the Book, and the seven repeated Ayat of the Glorious Qur'an.)

It is also called 'Al-Hamd and As-Salah', because the Prophet said that his Rabb said,

«قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ، فَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ:الْحَمْدُدِلله رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، قَالَ اللهُ: حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي»

(`The prayer (i.e., Al-Fatihah) is divided into two halves between Me and My servants.' When the servant says, `All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of existence,' Allah says, 'My servant has praised Me.')

Al-Fatihah was called the Salah, because reciting it is a condition for the correctness of Salah - the prayer. Al-Fatihah was also called Ash-Shifa' (the Cure).

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal recorded in the Musnad that Abu Sa`id bin Al-Mu`alla said, "I was praying when the Prophet called me, so I did not answer him until I finished the prayer. I then went to him and he said, (What prevented you from coming) I said, 'O Messenger of Allah ! I was praying.' He said, (`Didn't Allah say),

[يأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ اسْتَجِيبُواْ لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

(O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he () calls you to that which gives you life) He then said,

[لَأُعَلِّمَنَّكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ]

(I will teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an before you leave the Masjid.) He held my hand and when he was about to leave the Masjid, I said, `O Messenger of Allah! You said: I will teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an.'

He said, (Yes.)

[الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَـلَمِينَ ](Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-`Alamin)''

[نَعَمْ هِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُهُ]

(It is the seven repeated (verses) and the Glorious Qur'an that I was given.)''

Well there are many lines I can write on the excellence of Surah Al-Fatiha, but what I want to explain is how is our Amal should be towards such a blessing.
Although the whole book of Qur'an is a blessing in disguise for us , but this first Surah has its own excellence!
We read this Surah in a day almost 14 times but are we reading it with complete sense?
We read it so quickly that we don't realize the Haqq (rights) of  each of its word, each letter & proper articulation point!
When we read an ayah of the Qur'an we should keep in mind it's haqq. It's an amanah upon us!

Apart from that, I want to talk about the understanding of it. No matter what, it's not an easy Surah. We have to understand its every line when we are reading and realize what we are reading & what we are asking Allah 14 times in a day .

Then the next duty which comes on us is the 'Amal' (actions) that we have to bring into our lives. We make duwa in this Surah (ihdinas siratal mustaqeem) daily but we should also feel it while reciting it in front of Allah. When we understand and feel every single Kalima of Surah Al-Fatiha from our hearts, only then will Surah Al-Fatiha work as a 'shifaa' upon our HEARTS !!

For better understanding, follow the link which will give you a deep explanation of Surah Al-Fatiha by Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari
SURAH FATIHA- One Way To Paradise

I pray that Allah subhanawataAllah give us all the tawfeeq for Amal (actions) on our Ilm! AMEEN

Most importantly the reason of writing here is - Reading, learning, writing & spreading the knowledge of Qur'an as a gift for the last ummah. We need to value this gift and fulfill responsibility !

ACTIONS AND INTENTIONS

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

السلام علیکم ورحمتہ اللہ و برکاتہ

As this is the start of our blog, I thought this was the most suitable hadith to write about. Although ALHUMDULILLAH many of us already know it and must have heard and read it many times but it is 'the most important' to have a right 'niyyah' before doing any work (good of course) as our Prophet Muhammed (Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam) said:

On the authority of Omar bin Al - Khattab, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam say: "Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated."

( Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim )

On the basis of this hadith, our niyyah (intention) is the most important. Our actions will be judged according to our niyyah and we will be answerable to ALLAH Subhaanahu wa Taa'la. It is very important to have Ikhlaas (sincerity) in our actions in order for them to be accepted by Him.

'Ikhlaas' means to do every action sincerely, be it internal or external, with the intention to please Allah Taa'la irrespective of people being pleased with you or
not, and expecting reward only from Him believing that Allah Taa'la is All Hearing, All Watching.

May Allah Taa'la bless us with ikhlaas in our niyyah and bless us with the taufiq to do the right thing, the right way with the intention to please Him alone....AMEEN
