IS THERE STILL HOPE FROM HUMANITY?

"And never give up hope of Allah's truly soothing mercy, no-one despairs of Allah's soothing mercy except those who have no faith." [Surah Yusuf: 87]

Reading, watching or listening to any kind of news makes me nauseous, brokenhearted, disappointed, angry and extremely sad! What is happening to this world? What happened to every single human being? Where is our morality and our respect for another fellow human being? Where is the dignity and respect for our own soul? Haven't we already sinned enough that we keep on increasing immensely?

The Conditions in Syria and Egypt are beyond imagination. Men, women and children are dying every day and most of them are fearing for their lives. The turmoil occurred in Egypt was by the oppression from their own country. Then what is left for the security of the citizens of Egypt? No security, no rights, no privilege. Only some kinds of agenda to ruin the Muslims for the benefit of their own income and luxury. The neighboring Muslim countries ought to help ALWAYS but little is the help that is received to any one of the victims of the murdered families.
It only reminds me of how the Ansars of Madinah stood up with courage to help the Muhajireen of Makkah only on the basis of Muslim brotherhood and unity. But this makes me feel ashamed of myself and life in general. Has Saudi Arabia done sufficient to decrease the sufferings of the Muslim brothers and sisters in Egypt, Syria and Palestine? Man, even this country is corrupted.  Many people are still striving to get their rights reserved. And I have nothing more to say in defense of any country or anybody but as humans we all know what is right and wrong despite the religion differences.
For one second I wanna speak to my Muslim brothers and sisters in general. Do you think affliction is just simply occurring upon our lives because we are innocent? No we aren't. Are we all praying five times a day on time without laziness? Are we all Reading the Qur'an with understanding and acting upon it? Are we engaged in Halal lifestyle with no alcohol, no haram business, no usury, no illegal relationships, returning of amaanats, Hijab of men and women, no music or movies? Are we obeying our parents and elders and maintaining our blood relationships? Are we truthful at all times? Are we all Just to every human being around us despite our differences and enmity? Have we held firm the rope of Allah and have had full trust in Him? If the answer is No, then we all have nothing more to say just to be ashamed of ourselves. If the answer is Yes, then there is still hope for the world to be in peace.
As Muslims and most of all humans, we need to restore our humanity and CHANGE. Stop living for the world. Fear Allah and live for the Day of Judgement. Do jihad against ourselves.

This is a total disaster and the more we speak or shout who do you think is listening except Allah? No leader or authority cares for you then why do you turn to them? The month of Ramadan is over but it reminds me that most of us weren't in masjids during the Qiyam ul Layl. Who do you think is to be blamed but yourselves? We all are in loss with time that we didn't take advantage of and the blessings we cared less for. We all know very well who were the true worshipers in Ramadan and even outside of Ramadan. The least we could do is Repent sincerely so Allah subhanawaTa'la has mercy on us. Then why don't we call upon Allah even when we had no Affliction or calamity? Isn't Allah subhanaAllah All Seeing, All Aware, All Listening? Don't you know that He is All Aware of your petty little tricks of pleasing yourself by calling Him suddenly out of nowhere at the difficult times and then fleeing from Him when things seem good for you?

My heart only sinks in deep sorrow and grief for the loss of innocent lives of children, men and women all over the world because of the propaganda against the Muslims by the mind control of the Zionists and most importantly, our own nafs and mistakes.

"Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself." 4:79

The Prophet (sallallahu aleihi wa sallam) said: "Allah does not punish the individuals for the sins of the community until they see the evil spreading among themselves, and while they have the power to stop it, do not do so." (Ahmad). Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "This is why those who are in authority are of two groups: the scholars and the rulers. If they are upright, the people will be upright; if they are corrupt, the people will be corrupt."

But there is still hope for us in the aakhirah and as well in this dunya because one day we will be brought to justice.

Narrated Abu Huraira radiaAllah anhu: The Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What do you order us (to do)?" He said, "Obey the one who will be given the pledge of allegiance first. Fulfill their (i.e. the Caliphs) rights, for Allah will ask them about (any shortcoming) in ruling those Allah has put under their guardianship." [Al-Bukhari 4.661]
Allah's Messenger SAW said, "If any ruler having the authority to rule Muslim subjects dies while he is deceiving them, Allah will forbid Paradise for him." [Sahih Al-Bukhari 9:265]

Narrated Ma'qil: I heard the Prophet sallalahu alaihi wasallam saying, "Any man whom Allah has given the authority of ruling some people and he does not look after them in an honest manner, will never feel even the smell of Paradise." [Sahih Muslim - Volume 9, Book 89, Number 264]

Our only weapon is duwa and supplications, so let us all humble ourselves and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaitaan and seek forgiveness from Allah subhanaWa ta'aAla and pray for the oppressed in Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc.

Eating habits in RAMADHAN

Assalamualaykum,
Dear readers ,
Today my topic is miscellaneous I thought why not to write about , Ramadan !!!
Well when the word ramadhan comes in mind we have fasting, reading Quran, doing extra ibadah, and EATING IFTAR!

Well yes, we worry a lot about our Iftar. That's not a bad thing to worry about. It's natural.. But trust me just eating samosas, meethas, pakoras, haleem etc. should not be something we should worry about.

In fact, the entire year you can eat many things as much you want according to your diet, but in Ramadan you have to be more careful about your diet. Since Ramadan is over and Shawwal is still going on, we can still adapt these ways in our fasts.
We should know that our sahur, our Iftar should be healthy, but we hardly follow it .
My dear readers I live in east Asia, so according to that, I have a list here

What you should avoid for sahur:

Acidity increasing food items, like heavy meat or chicken curry, any rice, nahari or sticky oily food items which might lead to indigestion .

Things that you should eat in suhur :-

Food like bread, milk, yoghurt, egg, fruits, every thing which you feel is easy on your stomach , and don't grasp much
water thinking you won't feel thirsty later on in fast , but that's the wrong concept. Infact water is the only thing which will digest fast and make your stomach feel heavy but later on you might feel hungry. So don't make your stomach full of tanks of water !!!

Avoid eating rice at dinner or at suhur, because that too will digest quickly and might result in hunger later on .

Now coming towards Iftar, things that you should not eat in iftar :-

Besan pakoras - or any besan oily items, cholay, cream and ghee included meethas, peas included items, cauli flower, any item that has huge amount of meat or oil should be restricted because the effects will occur when you go for taravi .

Things that you should eat in Iftar :-

Yoghurt, fresh Laban, fish, milk, fruits, juices of fruits are very essential for vitamins and minerals in body. In fact, if you add milk to your meetha's in more amount than your ghee /oil - then you will have a more calcium rich diet than any fat rich diet and SOUPS definitely !

I never understood the concept behind making the barley boil so much at stove, until I went through this Hadith.
Prophet (Pbuh) said, “You recently recovered from illness, hence you are weak, hence don’t eat more. Therefore, that lady prepared a dish from barley and beet root. Then, the Prophet (Pbuh) told Hazrat Ali “Eat from it, it is better for you”. (Ibn-e-Maja, Sanad-e-Ahmed, Tirmizi)

Hazrat Aisha (R.A) used to order preparation of Talbina for sick person and used to tell “Even though the patient dislike it, but it is highly beneficial for him. (Bukhari)

You can get this barley in any flour shops, it's called in urdu 'jau' !
This is the main thing for your energy and good digestion. It removes every illness of stomach and most importantly it is recommended by our prophet Mohammed sallalahu alaihi wasalam. So don't think much when it's about following Sunnah !! Just go for it !!

How to break the fast :
The best way to do Iftar is to open your fast with dates, then water, then offer your Maghrib salah, then come back to eating, but don't fill your stomach much that you feel heavy and difficult in Salat without khushu and khuzoo. Try eating less in variety foods!

Narrated Anas ibn Malik The Apostle of Allah Sallallaho alaihey wasallam used to break his fast before praying with some fresh dates; but if there were no fresh dates, he had a few dry dates, and if there were no dry dates, he took some mouthfuls of water. [Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 13, Number 2349]
For cooking lovers,, my best advice is to please cook with small quantities, with best quality and definitely with variety.

And remember if you cook thinking its a way to please Allah not humans, then your food will be cooked more delicious than ever. Try to share food with your neighbors, relatives and invite a fasting person so that he/she could eat at your home and it has a lot of sawaab !

Prophet sallalahu alayhi wasalam declared, "If a person gives iftar to a fasting person in this month, his sins will be forgiven. And he will be given as many rewards as has that fasting person," some of the Blessed Companions said that they were not so rich as to give iftar meal to a fasting person. He declared as a reply, "The rewards will be given even to a person who gives a date as the iftar or who provides water to break the fast or who offers a little milk" [Bayhaqi]

Prophet sallalahu alayhi wasalm stated, "He who gives water as iftar to a fasting person in Ramadan becomes as sinless as the day his mother bore him."
Before I leave, let me remind you to not forget about eating habits at EID. Usually, people stay on cautious diet in Ramadan but give up at eid. So my dear readers please take care of your health in this month of blessings as well as Eid. Don't forget the month is to make your sins forgiven, but not to just eat !!!
May this post of mine , help you guys a lot! Ameen :)

"Muhammad As If You Can See Him" - BOOK REVIEW

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Dear Reader,

Today, I will be sharing my thoughts on a book with you :)

I came across it when we had to read a book on the Seerah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alahi wa sallam) for a book club meeting. I had initially decided to read the biography written by Martin Lings but due to time constraints I decided to go ahead in search of a comprehensive but succinct description on the life of our Prophet.

I couldn't be happier for happening to stumble upon this specific one. The book is entitled "Muhammad As If You Can See Him" and written by the well known Dr. Aid Al-Qarni. He is also author of the ever so popular and one of my favourite books ever- "Don't Be Sad".

The book consists of only about 171 pages, which forms the main content of the book.

Dr. Al-Qarni uses simple, but beautiful and powerful ways to describe the various qualities of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) in this work. He starts by briefly going over the story of Prophet hood.  After that, each section of the book pertains to describing one quality (amongst the many) of the Prophet. The various qualities include his patience, his truthfulness, his generosity, his Zuhd, bravery, humbleness, mercy, laughter, and so on. For someone who wants to know how the Prophet was in a certain aspect, they can look it up in the contents and go straight to that particular section, making the organisation of the book very user-friendly and also very helpful for any second or third reads in the same manner.

This book is now one of my favourite books I have ever read. I wished it could go on more, to learn more new things about the Prophet that I had never known before, and work on increasing love for him. For whatever Rasul Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam) has done for us, we can never repay him. Except by loving and emulating him in all aspects of our lives. Even that would be less, for it would only contribute to our own well-being and in our relationship with Allah subhanahu wa taala.

I loved it because it truly made me know my Prophet "as if I can see him". You can feel the Dr.'s love of the Prophet himself which aids the reader in loving the Prophet as well (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).

I learned so many new things about the beautiful and perfect character of the Prophet. Reading each quality makes one feel so intimate to the Prophet, and long to be with him more than ever. Although each and every quality is to be loved and learned from, one of the qualities which stunned me to an amazing manner was his generosity. Perhaps it impacted me so immensely because it is something deficient in myself which I need to work on.

The entire book seems like a mirror to check myself with. To emulate the Prophet, his tremendous character and perfect example with.

This book will give a wonderful insight into the life of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) for all the Muslims. After reading this, one's desire to learn more about him increases to a degree higher than ever before.

I wish to share so much more about my thoughts on the book, but there is only so much I can write here in one post. Reading the book itself alone can truly make one feel the beauty of its contents.

May Allah subhanahu wa taala bless us with the Sunnah in all its inward and outward dimensions, and may He increase the love for the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) in our hearts more than all of mankind. Ameen.

Allahumma salle aala Muhammad <3

Oh Allah, bless the Prophet!

Etiquette and rules of the Mosque

Etiquette and rules of the Mosque

There are etiquette and rules that should be learned and upheld by every Muslim. We should teach our families and children these rules and remind other Muslims to uphold these rules.

Whenever anyone enters into a Mosque, one must remain conscious of these etiquette –

1. Read the Dua for entering the Mosque and enter with right foot
'A'oothu billaahil-'Adheem, wa bi-Wajhihil-Kareem, wa Sultaanihil-qadeem, minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem.
[Bismillaahi, wassalaatu.]
[Wassalaamu 'alaaRasoolillaahi.]  Allaahum-maftah lee 'abwaaba rahmatika.

I seek refuge in Almighty Allah, by His Noble Face, by His primordial power, from Satan the outcast.
[In the Name of Allah, and blessings.] [And peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.]
O Allah, open before me the doors of your mercy.

2. Greet Salam to the People in the mosque.

3. Pray two rak'at tahiyyatul Masjid upon entry into the Masjid-
The prophet (Peace be upon Him) said: "If any one of you enters the mosque then he should not sit until he prays two rak’ats" [AL-Bukhari and Muslim] if after having offered his Asr Salah a person enters a mosque before sunset, he can offer two raka’ahs Tahiyyatul Masjid (prayer after entering mosque) before sitting which is a recommended Sunnah.

4. Do not skip rows or skip people.

5. When Jama’at begins, the first rows should be completed first, with both the right and left hand sides balanced equally.

6. Do not pass in front of someone who is still praying-
The Prophet (S.A.W.) said, "If the passer in front of the praying person knew how much sin he committed, it would have been better for him to wait for forty (days, months, years) than to pass in front of him." [Bukhari & Muslim]

Do:-

1.   It is always best to leave the house with wudhu.
2.   Wear nice, clean and tidy clothes.
3.   Keep smiling; do not sit with sad/disappointed face.
4.   More Zikr of Allah and Peace on Rasool.
5.   Keep the mosque neat and clean; arrange the book shelf properly after reading the Quran.
6.   Always keep quiet.
7.   Sit properly, keep space for others.

8.   Do Zikr in a low voice, not loudly.
9.   Keep you mobiles on silent/vibration.
10. Control your children in a nice manner, do not scream/scold/beat them.
11. Listen to Qutbah silently with concentration.
12. Greet people before leaving, and Read the dua. And leave with left foot first.

Don’t:-

1. Do not enter the mosque if consumed anything with awful smell- Garlic/Onion/Cigarette etc.
2. Do not distract people who are praying or reading Quran by talking on the phone or anything else.

9. Do not throw trash here and there. Put in dustbin.
10.Do not push others while leaving the mosque, be patient.
11.  Do not put too much of perfume, for its very distracting.
12. Do not waste time, instead read the Quran.

17. Do not make the washroom dirty.
18. Do not push others for using the washroom.
19. Do not hurt anyone in any way.
20. Do not wear Smelly dirty socks.

Sunan ibn majah Hadith no: 757

MARITAL DISTRESS!

Marital distress is one of the most common and disturbing human problems

1. The problem mainly occurs when there are misunderstandings between husband and wife.

Whatever one wants to share with the other should be honest and very clear to the topic. To truly know another, we must be interested in knowing how they exactly feel and not be selfish. The problem occurs mostly when one says “you never understood me” If we listened as well as we spoke, really would make things better.

2. Another distress occurs when we are ungrateful.

We complain and complain about unfulfilled expectations, expecting things over and over again, and getting disappointed for life and being ungrateful.
E.g- Husband brings everything his wife asks for, just forgets one thing then the wife goes like “you never did anything for me” This is ungratefulness
E.g- Wife cooks delicious food every time, once the salt destructed the food, Husband yells and says “you never make good food”
These things Should be avoided. Always be thankful, keep smiling and avoid unnecessary yelling.

 3. Not giving Wife her Haqq and not giving Husband his Haqq-

It is forbidden for a woman to refuse her Husband’s sexual desires. Whenever he desires sexual contact, she must not refuse him, unless she has a valid Islamic excuse.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:
By the one in whose hands is my life, there is not a man who calls his wife for sexual intimacy and she refuses him except that Allah becomes angry with her until her husband is pleased with her. (Sahih Muslim, No. 1436)

4. Don’t delve into your spouse’s past-

Any problems related to past relationships will cause married life to be poisoned by jealousy, taunts, blaming, being suspicious etc. It only matters the most when the person hasn't changed, if he/she is changed then just LET IT GO! Its Allah who judges. It was a mistake, got to learn some new good things after such horrible experiences in the past. Forgive, be happy and pray for patience.

“Verily, the shaitaan flows through man the flowing of blood. And indeed, i feared that he would cast evil into your hearts (ie, evil suspicion).” Reported by Bukhari 3281

5. Cleanliness and Adornment is a MUST!
Cleanliness plays an important role in ones life, even after getting married one must maintain their hygiene and be neat and clean. Islam teaches us to maintain a high level of both inner purity and outward personal hygiene. A wife must never forget to be well dressed up when the husband is home. She should always take care of her hygiene, ie. Clipping nails, remove pubic hair, take proper shower, apply musk and wear neat elegant clothes. Same goes to the Husbands- women don’t like it when men look dirty, uncombed hair, hair under arms, smelly. Should be avoided!

"Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean." [2: 22]

POLITICS IN ISLAM

ASSALAM O ALAIKUM READERS,

Definition of Politics:   The science of government; that part of ethics which has to do with the regulation and government of a nation or state, the preservation of its safety, peace, and prosperity, the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals.

Politics is not munkar - is not a depravity - real politics is noble virtuous because it administers the affairs of all creatures, bringing man closer to good and away from fasad - evil. According to Ibn al-Qayyim, politics is really the justice of Allah the Almighty and His Prophet (peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him).

What are political aspects in Islam?

Political aspects of Islam are derived from Quran & Sunnah (The saying and living habits of Prophet Mohammad SAW), Muslim history & elements of political movement outside Islam. Traditional Political concepts in Islam include Leadership, by elective or selective successors to the Prophet known as the Caliphs. The importance of Islamic laws or shariah, The duty of rulers to seek shura (consultation) from their subjects & the importance of rebuking & just rules.

The Prophet Muhammad SAW. was a politician as well as the messenger conveying the message of Allah's oneness - teacher, Qadi - Chief Justice, Head of the nation and Imam of the ummah. The Khulafa' al Rasyidun - the rightly guided leaders who succeeded him were also politicians following the Sunnah - way of the Prophet, establishing just administration, practicing ihsan - the betterment of good and providing the leadership of 'ilm - knowledge and Iman - belief.

The following hadith establishes the principle of rule of law of Prophet Mohammad SAW:

Narrated ‘Aisha: The people of Quraish worried about the lady from Bani Makhzam who had committed theft. They asked, "Who will intercede for her with Allah's Apostle?" Some said, "No one dare to do so except Usama bin Zaid the beloved one to Allah's Apostle." When Usama spoke about that to Allah's Apostle Allah's Apostle said: "Do you try to intercede for somebody in a case connected with Allah’s Prescribed Punishments?" Then he got up and delivered a sermon saying, "What destroyed the nations preceding you, was that if a noble amongst them stole, they would forgive him, and if a poor person amongst them stole, they would inflict Allah's Legal punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad (my daughter) stole, I would cut off her hand."

In Islam there is the equal subjection of all classes to the ordinary law of the land, where no person is above the law and where officials and private citizens are under a duty to obey the same law. A Qadi (Islamic judge) was also not allowed to discriminate on the grounds of religion, race, color, kinship or prejudice. There were also a number of cases where Caliphs had to appear before judges as they prepared to take their verdict.

Politics of Modern Era:

However in the present time, due to 'politics' man faced suffering as a result of deceit and political ploys and scheming and devious politicians, whether in the form of past colonialists, treacherous rulers, tyrannical leaders and regimes preaching.

It became common to label and describe committed Muslims as 'political' so that they are regarded warily and wickedly for the purpose of disassociating and furthering apart the people from them, intending that society will shun and hate what is called 'political Islam'. It has been such that symbols of Islam like the headscarf, the proper attire and congregational prayers - Salat jama'ah are attempted to be labelled 'political'. It is a blatant lie for those who say that there is no religion in politics and that there is no politics in religion.

From the understanding of the Prophet's SAW tradition:

Munkar (transgression) is not limited to (khamr) - liquor, gambling and (zina) - unlawful sex but degrading and defiling the honour and dignity of the people and citizens is a major transgression, so is cheating in the elections, refusing to give testimony - neglecting to vote, letting government be in the hands of those who are not deserving and undesired, stealing and squandering the nation's wealth and property, monopolizing the people's needs for personal gains or cronies' interests, detaining people without crime or just cause, without judgement from a fair court, torturing human beings in prison and the detention camps, giving, accepting and mediating in bribes, cowering up to, praising evil rulers, allowing the enemies of Allah and the enemies of the Muslim community to be leaders and shunning the believers.

We can see the image of politicians in the following picture which clearly depicts that more than half of the politicians are corrupted & the ratio of honest and hard working politicians is very low.

Our Political Responsibility: Islam requires that every Muslim has political responsibility. A Muslim is required by his Iman - faith to be truly concerned with the affairs and problems of the ummah - community, helping and defending the meek and the weak, fighting tyranny and oppression. By retreating and abstaining oneself, it will only invite divine retribution and being seized by the flames of hell.

True Islamic Democracy: Democracy is the simplest and proper way to achieve the aims of a noble life, to be able to invite all to Allah and Islam, to be able to call others to Iman without having our souls being imprisoned and our bodies sentenced to be executed by hanging. It is the space for a free and honorable nation to have the right to choose, evaluate the ruler, change governments without coups and without bloodshed.

The gist of democracy is that the public, the people can choose the rulers who are going to administer them; the people having the right to select, criticize and terminate; and the people are not forced to accept systems, trends, and policies which they do not agree to and they are not abused. They are free to hold elections, referendums, ensuring majority rights, protecting minority rights, having opposition, have multi parties, have press freedom and safeguarding the independence of the judiciary. But once again to constantly uphold and safeguard the principles of Islam, the firm rulings, the determined laws, the essentials of religion and the non-ijtihadi must not be compromised or neglected.
